Barcelona and Argentina forward Lionel Messi can’t wait to get his World Cup going as La Albiceleste take to the field in the Maracana tonight.
The South Americans meet Bosnia and Herzegovina in Group F, the first match of Argentina’s quest for a third World Cup.
It is also the only major trophy Messi hasn’t claimed - along with the Copa America - and according to AS, Messi is raring to go.
“Eager to play in the Maracana for the first time in my life and make a good start to the World Cup. Going for everything,” Messi wrote on Facebook.
“It would be beautiful to get the World Cup,” he added in an interview. “It’s always been a dream.
“I think what we are going through will be crucial to fulfil that dream.”
