Reports in England this morning claim that Southampton will make a move for Atletico Madrid defender Toby Alderweireld.
The Belgian centre-back was a peripheral figure in his first season in Spain last time out, playing just 12 times as the capital club lifted the title.
As such, the 25-year-old is likely to leave Vicente Calderon before the window shuts next Monday.
Several clubs are thought to be interested in his services, including Bayer Leverkusen and Spartak Mosocw.
