Monaca cruise into Semis

Monaco, Lille ease into semis

Monaco eased into the semi-finals of the Coupe de la Ligue with a 2-0 victory over 10-man Gingamp as Dimitor Berbatov finds the back of the net for the sixth time this season.

The former Manchester United striker took advantage of some sloppy marking to head home Yannick Ferreira Carrasco's cross after eight minutes.

Guingamp's hope of reviving the game were dented in the 36th minute when midfielder Christophe Mandanne was shown a straight red card for pushing over Ricardo Carvalho, who was criticised by the opposing team for rolling around theatrically on the turf.

Guingamp created several chances to equalise and Anthony Martial made them pay by rounding off the win with a tap-in during injury time.

Lille joined Monaco in the last four after coasting to a 2-0 win over Ligue 1 rivals Nantes.
Sebastien Corchia gave Lille the lead in the ninth minute before Simon Kjaer wrapped up the win in the second half.

The other two teams in the last four are holders Paris Saint-Germain, who won 1-0 at Saint-Etienne and Bastia, who beat Rennes 3-1 on Tuesday.
