Turkish International Olympic Committee (IOC) member Ugur Erdener has told Around the Ringsthat Istanbul will not be bidding to host the 2024 Olympics.
Speculation has been mounting that the city will submit a bid and go
head to head with Boston, Rome, Paris and Hamburg to secure the Games,
but Erdener has dismissed a potential bid.
Erdener says despite losing out to Tokyo for the 2020 Games, he is "90%" sure the city will not bid to host in 2024
