The English Football League has signed a record five-year renewal of
its international rights deal with sports marketing agency Pitch
International.
The deal will cover the five seasons from 2017-18 until 2021-2022 and
includes the leagues operated by the Football League which include the
Championship, League One, League Two and the League Cup and Football
League trophy competitions.
Pitch International's current deal with the Football League was due
to run until the end of the 2016-17 season having started in 2012-13.
In a statement, the Football League revealed that it was a "record"
deal which will "deliver a 68 per cent increase on existing
arrangements."
In November, the Football League announced that it will be rebranding
to the 'English Football League' as part of a corporate and competition
re-branding.
