Manchester City Reports Record Profits

Manchester City have reported a record turnover of £391.8m ($482.7m) and a £20.5m ($25.2m) profit for the financial year 2015-16. 
The income reported is from TV-rights, sponsorships, ticket sales and commercial activities, and was £40m higher than last season’s income. The total wages paid to players and staff were approximately 50% of the income, at £196m.
Manchester City has now reached a level of sporting and commercial maturity that allows one to feed the other,” said Khaldoon Al Mubarak, chairman of Manchester City, “Manchester City has delivered a bottom line profit of £20.5 million in 2015-16, increased its revenues for the eighth year in succession, and continued to operate with zero financial debt.
