Manchester United have announced that they have become the first British club to appoint a full-time counter-terrorism manager.
The position has been filled by a former inspector from the Greater Manchester Police.
The appointment comes amongst additional security measures introduced  at Old Trafford on matchdays, including vehicle checks and supporter searches.
United's Premier League fixture against Bournemouth in May was postponed after a fake bomb was found in a toilet
