Tottenham have been dealt a massive
blow ahead of their mouthwatering Premier
League clash against Manchester United this weekend,
with Harry Kane ruled out due to a
hamstring strain.
Spurs revealed the news on
Friday morning in a setback for the north London side's
preparations as they look to move above United into second place.
They revealed he underwent assessment
and investigation earlier this week, which confirmed a minor strain to the left
hamstring.
'For tomorrow, we cannot take a risk,' manager Mauricio Pochettino said about
Kane's fitness.
'It's a minor injury, very small,
but we cannot take a risk. We'll see after for Wednesday versus Real Madrid.
Tomorrow [Saturday] it's impossible.
'Yes [it is a blow], you always want
all the players available. It's a problem. To play more or play less, we want
them available to play. We always believe in the collective, the squad. During
the season, problems happen and you must trust all the players, all the
squad.
