Jose Mourinho won the League 2015 with Chelsea, and Conte led the Blues to the title last season. The special one returns to Stamford Bridge with Manchester United on Sunday, said:
“I would like to land at Manchester United just when I decided to leave.
“Why? To retake a team that would have been coached by Mourinho . . . the dream!
“The priority is always the same — develop the club in which you work. Unless you are lucky enough to coach a team already built for the win. That’s the perfect plan.
Mourinho was axed by the Blues in December 2015 and Conte did not arrive at Stamford Bridge until the following summer.
But many of Mourinho’s title winners — including Eden Hazard and Diego Costa — played a major role again last season as Chelsea stormed to the Premier League crown.
Mourinho and Conte have been sniping at one another since they were rival bosses at Inter Milan and Juventus seven years ago.
Then this season, Mourinho launched into a tirade about managers who cry over injuries, with many believing it was a direct jibe at Conte.
