Rafael Nadal set to discover verdict of £90,000 lawsuit against doping claim

Rafael Nadal is scheduled to hear the outcome of his longstanding lawsuit this week
World No 1 Rafael Nadal On Thursday is scheduled to hear the outcome of his longstanding lawsuit against France’s former heath and sports minister Roselyn Bachelot, who he is suing for €100,000 (£90,000).

In the aftermath of revelations over Maria Sharapova’s use of Meldonium a year last March, Bachelot asserted on French TV that current world No 1 Nadal had in 2012 sat out a ‘silent ban’ due to a positive doping test

Between Wimbledon 2012 and February 2013 he did not play. Nadal has strongly denied that anything other than injury was behind this.
