World No 1 Rafael Nadal
On Thursday is scheduled to hear the outcome of his longstanding lawsuit
against France’s former heath and sports minister Roselyn Bachelot, who he
is suing for €100,000 (£90,000).
In the aftermath of
revelations over Maria Sharapova’s use of Meldonium a year last March,
Bachelot asserted on French TV that current world No 1 Nadal had in 2012 sat
out a ‘silent ban’ due to a positive doping test
Between Wimbledon 2012 and February
2013 he did not play. Nadal has strongly denied that anything other than injury
was behind this.
