Harry Kane Injury Gives England World Cup Worries

The first half injury eventually left Kane in need of crutches as Spurs players left the ground
Harry Kane is a major doubt for England’s World Cup friendly games against Holland and Italy after being forced on Sunday to leave Bournemouth on crutches and in a protective boot following another significant ankle injury.
Kane got his foot caught under Bournemouth goalkeeper Asmir Begovic during Tottenham's 4-1 win after half an hour and went down the tunnel, throwing a water bottle in frustration.

Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino said that Kane was “positive”, he could offer no reassurance ahead of Saturday's FA Cup quarter-final against Swansea City and Thursday's England squad announcement for the Holland and Italy friendlies later this month. "I am concerned,” said Pochettino.

England and Tottenham would wait till Monday for a scan result to find out the extent of the kane’s injury but as of Sunday night, it looked unlikely that the 24-year-old will be able to face Holland or Italy in the friendlies this month.

Dele Alli was also forced off with an apparent groin problem, though Pochettino allayed fears by saying it did not appear to be a big issue.

Tottenham do not now have a Premier League match until April 1, but that is away against Chelsea and potentially of huge significance in the race for a top four finish.
