European champions
Real Madrid scraped into their third successive Champions League final as they
edged out Bayern Munich in a thrilling encounter with Karim Benzema
grabbing a brace to take Madrid through to their third
successive Champions League final in a breath taking contest
against Bayern Munich with a 4-3 aggregate win at the
Bernabeu.
Joshua Kimmich repeated
same feat, just like he did put the German side ahead in the first leg, he
tapped in a loose ball from close range to draw the game level on aggregate
just three minutes into the game but Benzema levelled the score line with a headed
goal.
Sven Ulreich then gifted
Madrid the lead in the game after a poor attempt to clear a back pass, Benzema
made no mistake to bury the ball in an empty net following the german keeper disastrous
mistake but James Rodriguez draws the game level on the night
Bayern
pushed until the very end, but Corentin Tolisso and Thomas Muller's efforts were saved by Keylor
Navas and Mats Hummels headed wide as the Spanish side held on. Real will face either Liverpool or Roma in the final
in Kiev, Ukraine, on 26 May.
Real Madrid are now within touching
distance of a third consecutive Champions League triumph.
