De Gea wins his first Premier League Golden Glove award

David de Gea wins Premier League Golden Glove award for first time after claiming 18th clean sheet at West Ham

The Spaniard won the highest clean sheets to clinch the award with one game of the Premier League season remaining ahead of De Gea's second-placed Manchester City counterpart Ederson with 16.

Arsenal stopper Cech is tied with City's Joe Hart for the most Golden Glove wins with four in total.
Cech won the award three times while at Stamford Bridge and once at Arsenal, Hart's four awards at City include a run of three straight from 2011-13. 


Liverpool's Pepe Reina claimed the award three consecutive times across 2006-08 at Anfield while ex-United stopper Edwin van der Sar, Chelsea's Thibaut Courtois has one and former Arsenal No 1 Wojciech Szczesny shared one with Cech.
