Raheem Sterling is considering £100 million
(US$121 million) offer to be one of the first soccer players to pen a personal
endorsement deal to wear Jordan Brand boots, according to the Telegraph.
The
24-year-old is currently in the final year of his boot deal with Nike, which
owns Jordan Brand, and is one of soccer’s hottest marketing properties. The
England forward is reportedly attracting interest from a number of high-profile
brands, including Gillette and H&M, and has become a prominent figure off
the pitch.
Jordan
Brand only made its first foray into the soccer market last season when it
announced a deal with French champions Paris Saint-Germain to provide the
team’s kit for the UEFA Champions League.
The
partnership proved a hit, with reports in March stating PSG were on target to
sell one million shirts in a single campaign, thanks in part to it becoming
increasingly popular in the US, where sales rocketed by 470 per cent.
