The EOC will hold a special assembly in Turkey to hear the final
proposals from the Dutch Olympic Committee and to give final approval.
“While the EOC has identified our preferred hosts for 2019 we will
continue to have conversations in parallel with other national Olympic
committees who have expressed an interest in bringing a European Games
to their country," said Pat Hickey, the president of the EOC.
According to the EOC, they interest from six candidates to host the
2019 Games, but it appears the Dutch bid is the only one standing.
The Dutch cities of Amsterdam, The Hague and Eindhoven are believed
to be the cities in the running to stage the game in the country.
The inaugural European Games will get underway in Baku in June.
