
Even with the
Bundesliga opener is two weeks away, Bayern Munich and Wolfsburg begin their
respective competitive seasons on Saturday, as they face off in the German
Supercup, known as the DFB-Superpokal. Bayern Munich new signing Arturo Vidal will
try to fill in the shoes Bastian Schweinsteiger who now plies his trade in
England for Manchester United.

The
‘unofficial’ 2015/16 season opener for the English Premier League takes place this
Sunday, 2nd August, at the famous Wembley Stadium and will see Arsenal, having
defended their FA Cup title; take on Chelsea, the current League Champions in
what many will hope sets the tone for another exciting 10 months of Football
with the two team’s manager ash rivalry continue and ironically Chelsea’s
former legendary goal keeper will be in goal for Arsenal makes it more
interesting.
The customary summer break has seen a lot of intrigue with pre-season tournaments and market activity; Angel di Maria handing in a transfer request to Paris Saint Germain, Sczeny going to Roma on loan, Sergio Ramos linked with a move to Manchester United who have signed Schweinsteiger, Schneiderlin and Depay, and Raheem Sterling finally leaving Liverpool for the blue half of Manchester who are still chasing Belgian Star Kelvin de Bruyne.
The season kicks off on Saturday 8th August with the Champions and Manchester
United in action against Swansea and Tottenham respectively, while Arsenal and
Liverpool will have to wait for their opening games on the 9th against West Ham
and Stoke City. The newly promoted sides will all play their first matches of
the season on the opening day with Bournemouth hosting Aston Villa, Watford away
to Everton and Norwich welcoming Crystal Palace to Carrow Road.
