The Premier League has awarded its broadcasting rights to Supersport in sub-Saharan Africa for the 2016/17 to 2018/19 seasons.
Supersport currently owns the rights to the Premier League in the region and has done so since 1992/93.
“We are extremely pleased that Supersport has chosen to invest in our
broadcasting rights in sub-Saharan Africa for seasons 2016/17 to
2018/19," Premier League Executive Chairman, Richard Scudamore, said.
"Supersport is a long-term partner of the Premier League and has an
excellent track record of delivering high-quality coverage of our
competition for fans in the region."
The Premier League will conduct a separate sales process for a
free-to-air package in sub-Saharan Africa which includes the rights to
broadcast one live fixture per match-round.
