The brand joins the likes of Nissan, Omega and P&G in supporting the event in Brazil.
Coca-Cola will receive a range of branding and marketing rights as
part of the deal, including the use of Paralympic marks within the
country.
Flavio Camelier, vice president of Coca-Cola Brazil for Rio 2016,
said: “Coca-Cola has had a constant presence in major moments of
sporting celebration across the world and we are taking another step in
that direction with the sponsorship of the 2016 Rio Paralympic Games.”
The news follows the recent announcement by the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) that it signed its biggest ever sponsorship deal with Toyota.
