
Nigerian wonder kid Kelechi
Iheanacho on Saturday, January 30 netted a hat trick as Manchester City eased
pass Aston Villa 4-0 in the fourth round of the FA Cup to remain in the hunt
for a record trophy quadruple.
19 year old Iheanacho took
over the goal-scoring duties from Sergio Agüero, who watched from the bench,
the teenager showed composure in front of goal as he scored in the fourth, 24th
(pen) and 74th minute, in the emphatic win with Raheem Sterling scoring the
fourth goal.
After the match
Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini revealed “I see him every day in
training, I know what he can do,” the City manager said, before revealing he
was intending to promote the young striker to his Champions League squad.
“Kelechi is the reason we did not feel the need to replace Edin Dzeko or Stevan
Jovetic.”

Iheanacho five-star performance is world
football governing body, FIFA wrote on their Twitter handle: “U-17 World Cup
star in 2013 Hat-trick hero in the FA Cup today congrats, Kelechi Iheanacho.”
Iheanacho now has eight
goals this season as he continues to impress for Manchester City.
